They do give refunds for those who want it, if you email them. I bought this 2 years ago and asked for a refund recently and they gave it without any hassle. I do agree the lack up updates is annoying but also a little hopeful they will eventually give this project some love.

They don't do constant updates, but if you've seen on tumblr the recent update tells whats up. Basically they're going to release the routes separately, so they have something out while they finish up the other routes (CGs and what not). Voice acting is not completed, due to scheduling. Hayato's route should be out Oct 5th, and with refunds it's hard when everyones ends up getting a refund, but they are complying to those who want refunds. It's not like they're being ignored. So, I think it's fair if they give people their refunds. Ah and if you refund your preorder, but then later see the game available it's gonna be $20. Those who preorder got a good deal despite the wait.
No updates on the production diary (Tumblr)?
We've been trying to hammer out a detailed schedule for completion for the rest of the game so we don't leave everyone hanging anymore. We'll update the production blog with that (plus some other info and announcements) once we're ready, so we ask for everyone's patience in the meantime! It's coming!
Welp, timer says it´s been 2 years since my purchase as of now. My life changed since then. I´ve moved to another country, learned a new language, got accepted into university. I´m almost a completely different person now. Some things didn´t change though. My heart, my inspirations, my sense of wonder, ...
...DEVELOPMENT STATUS OF THIS GAME.
I don´t want a refund. I´LL WAIT FOR THIS GAME AND PLAY THE SHIT OUT OF IT!
Because the most important thing about me didn´t change over these years either. And that thing is -
I FUCKING LOVE OTOME GAMES!
p.s. I´m not mad at devs, I´ll wait for the game as long as it needs to be finished. I´ve just seen the date change and felt like giving an epic speech xD
Hello! Rins here! Thank you so much for your continued support! I'm so glad to hear that your interest in otome games and in Spirit Parade hasn't changed. I'm so sorry I can't give a solid release date yet but we're all working hard to get each route done and put in the best quality possible!
Just happy to know it's not dead! :D I can wait super long for visual novels :P, been waiting for Amnesia for years and it ended up coming out on steam. So, as long as we get it, I am happy!
I think they're dead again :/ I'll give it another month *sigh*
This is Rins, one of the artists for Spirit Parade. Thank you so much for supporting us and having patience with us. I wanted to let you know that the project is most certainly not dead. We are working on hammering out details on a hard release date with deadlines on when to finish what. Since we all have full-time jobs, we want to have a reasonable amount of time to work so we can produce the best quality for Spirit Parade. This project is very dear to us and we're very happy that everyone is excited about it. If you feel the wait is too long, we can definitely offer you a refund.
Thank you again for your continued support. Please look forward to our updates!
I'm very happy you replied to me ;A; Thank you! I will wait for the game because it has such a good premise and great art that I am rooting for it's completion. My comment came from concern and a bit of frustration, because ever since Audilis abruptly cancelled "Love is a Game" after months of no communication, I just wanted to reach out to the devs I have been following for any updates, even simple ones such as delays. Precatio's "Kokorogawari" and Aeon Dream's "Mystic Destinies" were also having similar communication problems with just posting updates about their delays that I ended up commenting in that manner. I apologize for that and am patiently waiting for the updates.
Hi everyone, dev Lore here. I'm typing from my phone at the moment so I'm sorry if this comes out weirdly.
This project is most certainly not dead, nor is it a scam. We were just at PAX East promoting it with a new demo and such, I've just been trying to iron out the kinks in that demo before releasing it to the general public. I was waiting to update when that was ready.
I've personally had a lot of things change in my life since last year. In general, I don't have as much time for game dev as I used to since I graduated college and got a full-time job. I'm not online as much as before either so I imagine that makes it look like our social media presence is a bit dead. All 3 of us are much busier with other obligations than before That doesn't excuse the lack of updates, I know, and I'm sorry. There isn't a lot to report right now, the game is just getting done slowly but surely. We'll try our best to update the blog soon.
We know it's disappointing that the game is taking longer to complete than anticipated. Trust me, it's as disappointing to us as it is to you. We've run into some unexpected problems and it's tough going, but our determination to finish the game has never wavered. Nonetheless, we've always given preorder refunds to people who needed them, no questions asked. If you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the details of your purchase, I'll get back to you with a refund within 24 hours.
I'm sorry again for the trouble and for worrying everyone. I know it's probably extra troubling because we used to be so on track with updates, but sadly life happens sometimes and it can be hard to adjust. We'll do our best to improve communication and I hope that the game can still be enjoyed once it's released. Thanks for reading.
Glad to see an official update after over half a year of silence; I did see on Twitter that you were promoting the game at PAX, so I figured the project wasn't dead, but it's still nice to see it being addressed.
Good luck with further development and life! I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Hope to see the new demo soon too (:
Happy to see that you guys are still working on this. Thanks so much for the update!
Please upload as soon as possible. So we can purchase and play to our hearts content. Thanks for taking the time to post. Much love.xx
If the game isn't done that's fine and well but at least give those of us who paid for it some kind of update letting us know what's going on. This is the first otome game I've ever paid for so I was really looking forward to it but I'm starting to think this was a scam. I know you guys have a life to deal with but when it comes to business and people who have paid you, You should make time to let them know what's going on. :(
It's probably not a scam, since these people have worked on other visual novels that have been finished and also this game has a demo. But the lack of an update since like september 2016 really makes me think the game is cancelled. If that's the case, we need refunds.
Someone needs to try and get a refund. If they can't get through to the creators, then hopefully we can go to someone on itch.io
Based on their history of the devs with their previous games. I can be confident to say it's not a scam. Although it seems they have put this game in the back burner for a long time due to real life stuff.
That being said. There has been no update whatsoever, for months, not even a post saying "I'm sorry, we are very much behind but are still working on it". Which itself really disappoints me, I understand that they cannot sacrifice their entire time for creating a game if they have other obligations but there is no reason not to at-least inform the people who have pre-ordered this game what the status is. Just anything to let us know what's going on. I don't think it's asking much....
None of your personal blogs and Twitter accounts have recent updates, and the dev Twitter account of one of your members has gone private. I sent you a message on Tumblr, but it has gone unanswered. Can you *at least* confirm you are still working on this project? Had it been a free project I wouldn't be so disappointed, but I preordered the game -- as clearly did others.
Very sad that it seems this game will not be finished, especially seeing that I paid for it. Hopefully it's not actually canceled.
Don't mean to be a bother but when do you think the full game will be released
At the rate thing's are going, I think you can see this as a dropped project.
hope not it looks really good
Doesn't it? I was looking so forward to Haiyue and Diaochan's route, but sadly it has been over 6 months since the last update. If it takes this long, then it will probably take years for the game to get finished. But at least we have the demo.
Just as I was gonna pre-order it... now I'm sad :(
I'm not saying that it is a 100% certain that it is dropped. But you should probably wait until it is certain it will be released. I have been waiting for this game for about 1-2 years, but it has not been released. So the chances for it to be released soon are bleak. At the very least there are other games.
Have you played Cinderella Phenomenon for example? It has been released and can help you heal a little. ;)
Lore also has other games released that you can try.
You're right... of course they might be busy with other things. However, seeing such thing to be left behind it's sad and I know it's hard to make a game!
Yeah, I've tried CP and it was amazing!! I loved every bit of it. Actually, it's by far one of my favorite OELVN!
Hey, we haven't heard from you guys in a while and I just wanted to know if this game was still coming out?
I was worried about this too, but no fear! The game had been delayed while the writer moved house in December and finishes off another VN a long time coming, but a new demo is appearing this month at PAX East 2017, as reported on the author's Twitter: https://twitter.com/yandere?lang=en. The team is busy, but Spirit Parade is not cancelled!
So... the game will be released next year right?
When will you finish this game? I haven't seen updates for a very long time...
We're still working on it! All 3 of us have full-time jobs so progress isn't as fast as we'd like, but we're progressing on it as much as we can. We'll have another blog update soon.
The art is incredible and I def feel like this will be one of my favorites already from simply playing the demo, you all are doing a wonderful job.
The characters,Art, all brilliant. I am madly anticipating it's release.
HI, I just want to know is the game finish ?
I'm looking forward to this release! Purchased, good luck with development!!!
Well, I was surprised that yogoe(although I think the right spelling is yo-gwe), a Korean pronunciation for the Japanese youkai and the Chinese yaoguai. They use the same characters, but because of reasons, the majority knows only the Japanese term. It was also refreshing to have a protagonist having a Korean default name^^
I played the demo and I must say, I enjoyed it. Lovely art and voice acting! I personally would have loved it more if the background arts had more distinctive Chinese and Korean vibe.
But all in all, I like the demo enough to preorder^^
Er, hey, I noticed "jetblack font" font file in the game directory while playing the demo. Hope you guys have the proper permissions for it, because the font is licensed as "personal use/non-commercial". Unless that's just for the free demoand won't be in the final build.
Hi, thank you for your concern! The font never gets used in the game. We had been testing Japanese text on the coding level and sort of grabbed a font at random to use for internal testing purposes. We must have forgotten to delete it afterwards but yeah the font is not actually used in the game proper.
Do you know when the full game will be released? I played the demo and it was amazing, I plan on purchasing it soon. :)
Thank you so much for your interest and support! We don't have a predicted date yet because there are so many variable factors. Unfortunately, the three of us all have other jobs that we have to do to make enough money to survive so we can't devote all of our time to Spirit Parade, as much as we would like to.
When we have a solid release date in mind, we will definitely let everyone know!
I'm relatively sure Aaeri's question answered this but I want to be doubly sure: if we pay for the pre-order you'll be sending out an email to those of us who did for the [free] full download code when it's available on Steam, is that correct?
I've tried out the Demo and I love the quality and polish your team has displayed so far. I'm so excited to see more!
Thanks in advance for the clarification!
Yes, that is correct! Steam keys will be distributed through itch.io to everyone who's purchased/pre-ordered the game through here. The game should be out on both itch.io and Steam on the same day and we'll be emailing everyone a reminder once the game is out.
Thank you so much for your interest and support, we really appreciate it!
I Played your Demo guys and I just LUV LUV LUV LUVED IT!!!!! The main character is so like me its scary X3 when will the game be complete? plz i would love to know the quality is just exuistite, and i can't wait to see how the different paths will play out ^^
Thank you so much for your interest and support! The game should be out later this year, but we don't have a predicted date yet because there are so many variable factors. Unfortunately, the three of us all have other jobs that we have to do to make enough money to survive so we can't devote all of our time to Spirit Parade, as much as we would like to.
When we have a solid release date in mind, we will definitely let everyone know!
I bought this game through Paypal on Dec. 26th, but I was not registered for this site at the time. I can't remember if I will be getting an email when the full download is available or not. How can I make sure I get to download the game when it is released?
