The game had been delayed while the writer moved house in December and finishes off another VN a long time coming, but a new demo is appearing this month at PAX East 2017, as reported on the author's Twitter: https://twitter.com/yandere?lang=en. The team is busy, but Spirit Parade is not cancelled!
We're still working on it! All 3 of us have full-time jobs so progress isn't as fast as we'd like, but we're progressing on it as much as we can. We'll have another blog update soon.
The art is incredible and I def feel like this will be one of my favorites already from simply playing the demo, you all are doing a wonderful job. The characters,Art, all brilliant. I am madly anticipating it's release.
Well, I was surprised that yogoe(although I think the right spelling is yo-gwe), a Korean pronunciation for the Japanese youkai and the Chinese yaoguai. They use the same characters, but because of reasons, the majority knows only the Japanese term. It was also refreshing to have a protagonist having a Korean default name^^
I played the demo and I must say, I enjoyed it. Lovely art and voice acting! I personally would have loved it more if the background arts had more distinctive Chinese and Korean vibe.
But all in all, I like the demo enough to preorder^^
Er, hey, I noticed "jetblack font" font file in the game directory while playing the demo. Hope you guys have the proper permissions for it, because the font is licensed as "personal use/non-commercial". Unless that's just for the free demoand won't be in the final build.
Hi, thank you for your concern! The font never gets used in the game. We had been testing Japanese text on the coding level and sort of grabbed a font at random to use for internal testing purposes. We must have forgotten to delete it afterwards but yeah the font is not actually used in the game proper.

Unfortunately, the three of us all have other jobs that we have to do to make enough money to survive so we can't devote all of our time to Spirit Parade, as much as we would like to.
When we have a solid release date in mind, we will definitely let everyone know!
I'm relatively sure Aaeri's question answered this but I want to be doubly sure: if we pay for the pre-order you'll be sending out an email to those of us who did for the [free] full download code when it's available on Steam, is that correct?
I've tried out the Demo and I love the quality and polish your team has displayed so far. I'm so excited to see more!
Yes, that is correct! Steam keys will be distributed through itch.io to everyone who's purchased/pre-ordered the game through here. The game should be out on both itch.io and Steam on the same day and we'll be emailing everyone a reminder once the game is out.

I Played your Demo guys and I just LUV LUV LUV LUVED IT!!!!! The main character is so like me its scary X3 when will the game be complete? plz i would love to know the quality is just exuistite, and i can't wait to see how the different paths will play out ^^
